Answer : On the way to Bokaro the helicopter carrying Kalam crashed moments before landing. It hit the earth with a thud after its engine failed. But the author and other passengers had a miraculous escape.

Answer : The author dreamt that after the battle of
Kalinga, Asoka fell on his knees and removed his
armour and crown. His face was pale, reflecting the death surrounding him. He looked at the sky. He is the bright cool moon shining and God's grace pouring down on mother earth. And he looked down at the horror he created, making blood flow everywhere. In that moment of beauty and horror, Nature itself seemed to speak out against what he had wrought.
Thus Ahimsa Dharma was born.
7. How was Asoka transformed in his heart?

of political, scientific, theological and spritual thinking in life.

America. He abolished the tradition of slavery in

1. Mahatma Gandhi :
Mahatma Gandhi was a freedom fighter, an advocate of Non-violence, a writer and the symbol of communal harmony in India. He was born in Purbandar, in Rajkot in October, 1869. His father's name was Karamchand Gandhi and his moter's name was Putlibai. He was assassinated in 1948 by Nathuram Godse.

He was a great scientist, an inspiring speaker, a humanitarian and the President of India. He was born on October 15, 1931, into a middle class Tamil family. He guided India to the twenty first century. He passed away suddenly on July 27, 2015.

Emperor Asoka was a great king of Maurya Dynesty who ruled Indian subcontinent around 268 to 232 B.C. In his early period as an emperor, he was a ruthless conqueror but in his later life he embraced Buddhism and devoted himself to
preaching the message of love and brotherhood of Lord Buddha.
