1. What is the author's suggestions regarding the advertisements of rooms?

Answer : The author's suggestion regarding the advertisement of rooms is that the advetisement should include the facility of rooms with window.

2. Why does the author say that garrets do not help a young poet in writing poems?

Answer : The poets are imaginative. They need stimulant to write poems. In a garret there is no facility to enjoy the natural scenery of birds and other things to write poems on them. So the poet says that the garrets do not help young poet in writing poems.

3. What unpleasant experience did the author have while living near Clapham Junction?

Answer : The poet had to live in London for six
months. There he rented a room near Clapham Junction. It had a view of the railway. But he could not enjoy the view as the rows of washing were hung out to dry behind the building. Moreover it was an area lived by the people of the working class. There the rail passed with thundering sound making the building shudder, the ornments, crockery and dishes rocked
and rattled as if there were an incessant earthquake. For all these, the author could not feel comfortable.
These were the unpleasant experience that the author had while living near the Clapham Junction.

4. Which windows are perfect according to the author and why?

Answer : According to the poet, the windows through which the outside views like the sky, mountains, the road etc. can be seen and enjoyed are perfect windows. It is because the enjoyment of outside world keep mind away from feeling monotonous.

5. Did the author find his final abode which he had been longing for? If any, give a short description of it.

Answer : Yes, the author found his final abode which he had been longing for.
It was on a hill side. It was an old house but the author found it ideal for him. It had windows through which he could see the sky, mountains, green valleys, winding rivers, television tower etc. There he felt comfortable and could sing song. The window was so positioned that lying on his bed he could look at the sky, sitting on the desk he could see the hills and standing on the window he could look at the road below.

6. What does the author feel when he sees the sky during the monsoon period?

Answer : The author finally found his ideal house on a hill. There he enjoyed much during the monsoon period. During this time the sky was more fascinating. Sitting on his desk he saw the clouds advancing across the valley, rolling over the hills. Raindrops pattered agaisnt the window panes. When the clouds passed, the clouds opened up and the heaven was seen to be deeper blue. It was like a magic for the author. Every time that he saw the sky, he felt to be belonging to the universe rather than to one corner of the earth.
